MOPS
- Mothers of Preschoolers
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS International
exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban and rural moms,
stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with
different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms
they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through
kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled
with unique needs.
MOPS helps moms through relationships established in the context of local
groups that provide a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young
children.
This year's theme at Lakeside MOPS is the "Adventures in Mothering!" We will share the "ups and downs" and "twists and turns" of mothering together. We will have different speakers address a variety of topics covering emotional, spiritual, relational, and practical challenges a mom with little ones is facing.
Our meetings include:
Meetings are held in the Activity Center on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of most months from 9:30-11:30 am beginning in September (see below for dates). There is a one-time registration fee of $23.95 that goes to MOPS International. Meetings are $5 which covers childcare, speakers, and meeting supplies.
First-time guests may visit once free. So, join us for lots of fun and support as we journey through the pre-school years together.
