Scarf it Up
Scarf it Up is a program that gathers and distributes handmade and purchased scarves to inner city youth, homeless, the elderly and others in need. Lakeside Christian Church currently supports three organizations to accomplish this goal.
We support :
- Fairhaven Rescue Mission (for men)
- Isaiah Project (Northern Kentucky inner city families)
- River Ridge (family center)
Store bought donated scarves, hats and gloves are always welcome, but we especially want to encourage ladies of all ages and walks in life to donate these items as handmade. A handmade item speaks so richly to the recipient that they are truly cared for as well as provide an avenue of creativity for the person who enjoys making an item that can be used.
