Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We would like to update you on the current status of the Imagine Campaign. Since Celebration Sunday, June 18th, we have added 39 new families and $288,808 in new pledges. These additions bring our campaign totals to $4,000,568 in pledged commitments, with 498 families participating. Thank you for your sacrificial giving.

We desire to be good stewards with God’s resources as we seek to expand God’s kingdom. With the pledged Imagine commitments now known, we continue to look for and assess different parcels of land that meet the criteria Available, Affordable, Accessible, and Acreage, suitable for church growth as articulated in our vision for the future. The parcels of land we have identified to date are located fewer than ten miles south of our current location. Please understand, however, that we do not presently have an outstanding offer to purchase any of these parcels. We are continuing to gather information and carry out the due diligence procedures necessary for well-informed, effective negotiations, as a potential buyer.

In the future, we intend to keep the Church Body as up-to-date as possible, providing you with news of relevant developments, as they become known. We appreciate and share in the excitement—and anxiety—that is associated with possible land acquisition. As was discussed at the Imagine Vision Gatherings held several months ago, our path for the future is uncertain. What is certain, however, is our love of God and our desire that Lakeside Christian Church be a body of believers that is growing and alive, developing disciples through our obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Please pray with us—and for us, as leaders—as we continue to seek to discern God’s will for Lakeside Christian Church.
