Please join us Sunday, October 17 at 11:00 AM at the Aronoff Center for the Arts for a special service to say farewell to John Russell, our retiring Senior Minister.
At Lakeside we.....
Acknowledge that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ, the Son of the Living God and the Savior of the world. (John 1:1-14; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8)
Believe that salvation is through the grace of God and "not of works lest any should boast." (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Romans 5:8-11)
Recognize the Bible as the only sufficient guide for the Church and for the Christian life. (2 Timothy 3:16; Proverbs 30:5)
Practice the immersion of believers as the Biblical act of induction into the Christian life. (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Peter 3:21)
Observe the Lord's Supper (Communion) weekly as the central act of Christian worship. (Luke 22:15-19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
Encourage our members to develop in their lives the mind and manner of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Philippians 2:1-11; Romans 12:1-5; Luke 22:26)
Regard our people not as the only Christians, but as Christians only, and seek oneness with all believers in matters essential to the Christian faith. (Acts 11:26; 1 Peter 2:17)
Invite into our fellowship all who commit themselves to the Lordship of Christ in terms of His will in the New Testament. (2 Timothy 2:15;2 Timothy 4:2)
