About Lakeside Christian Church

Our Mission

Is to help everyone live their fullest life. And a full life is found when we grow in Christ, connect in community, and live on mission.

Grow in Christ

To deepen both our trust in and knowledge of God.

Connect in Community

To deepen our relationship with God by fostering relationships with other believers.

Live on Mission

What We Believe

Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God and the Savior of the world.

John 3:16; 1 John 2:1–2

The Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God. It is the sole basis for our beliefs and for Christian living.

Matthew 4:4; 2 Timothy 3:16

Salvation can be found in Jesus Christ alone. We are not saved by our works, but by His grace.

John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:1–10

Not only is Jesus the Son of God, but there is the God the Father, the God the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are one God in three persons.

John 14:25–26

According to the Bible, any person who chooses to be saved by the grace of God is required to confess the reality of their sin, express a commitment to turn from their sin, and to be baptized by immersion, all in the name of Jesus Christ. In response, the Bible promises forgiveness of sin, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the promise of eternal life.

Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9–10

Christians are inspired to do good works as an outgrowth of God's saving grace. Because we are children of God and followers of Jesus, we strive to serve others in various capacities and to witness to non-believers in hopes of bringing them to a saving relationship with Christ.

James 2:14–26; 1 Corinthians 15

In the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

Matthew 27–28; 1 Corinthians 15

That Jesus, while being fully God, was also fully man, a product of the Virgin Birth, and the only man to ever live a sinless life here on earth.

Matthew 1:23; Romans 8:3; John 5:2; Colossians 2:9

That Satan exists. He is the Great Liar and the Great Deceiver; the author of evil who seeks to destroy all that is good.

1 Peter 5:8; John 22:2; Corinthians 5:21

That Jesus is the head of the church and that the church elders are appointed to shepherd the flock. Elders are responsible for preaching and teaching, overseeing the congregation.

Acts 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9; 1 Peter 5:1–4

Jesus is coming again!
